Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are one of the most adored couples in Tinseltown. The duo have always won hearts with their modest and low-key media presence, and they do not seem to indulge much in PDA. Keeping it real, both Raj and Patralekhaa serve perfect couple goals by being each other’s biggest cheerleaders no matter what. For the unversed, they crossed paths on a road trip to Pune. However, they began to feel special for one another when they watched each other’s performances on-screen. Raj and Patralekhaa finally tied the knot on November 15, 2021.
Not all love stories are perfect, and it is this sense of imperfectness that makes it beautiful. Something similar has been the case with the cutesy lovebirds, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, who after dating each other for a few years, had once decided to call it splitsville over a minor spat. Recently, while gracing a Netflix event in Mumbai, the actress sat down for a candid revelation with comedian, Zakir Khan, wherein she recalled about that particular phase of breakup with Rajkummar Rao. Adding how at that point of time she just wanted to leave Mumbai forever, Patralekhaa said:
“Mera Raj ke saath break-up hua tha. I was very sad and thought of leaving Mumbai. One of my friends insisted that I go on a trip to Goa and everything would be fine after that. I went to Goa and cleared my mind. However, once I came back to Bombay, I eventually got back with Raj.”

Previously, in an interaction with Brut India, Patralekhaa recalled noticing Rajkummar Rao for the first time, when she saw his performance in the film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha. The star-wife remarked that her first impression of Raj was definitely influenced by the kind of character he essayed in that particular film. Adding how she found him extremely weird, Patralekhaa said:
“Oh god this boy is so weird!”
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Rajkummar Rao spilled beans on his life post marriage, and the new experiences that he was enjoying. He heaped immense praises and appreciation for his better-half, as he credited that this new phase in his life changed his outlook towards everything at large. He called his marriage a beautiful feeling and added how having his best friend, Patralekhaa as his wife made a few good evolutions in his life at the subconscious level.

Well, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa left everyone awestruck during their wedding, when the latter reciprocated the sindoor-daan moment with the latter. The actress could be seen cutely putting a pinch of vermillion on her hubby’s forehead, which was in no way a part of any cultural tradition. Amid severe backlash that the couple faced about it, Raj once clarified the reason behind the same in an interaction with a leading daily. He said:
“There was no thought I was like 'wo bhi laga sakti hai kyui nahi', she can also say, 'tum mere ho'. I don't know the history or reason behind the sindoor and everything, I just thought she can also put why not."
