But soon the rumours started making the rounds of why Neha and Angad made a hastened decision to get married. Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s surprise wedding left everyone wondering the reason for their sudden marriage. If conjectures are to be believed, Neha’s pregnancy hastened their decision to marry. A source stated to an online portal, “Neha is pregnant and the news will come out in a while. The reason why they got married so quickly was because of this.” It was also said that lately Neha has been wearing loose clothes and in most of the wedding pictures, she is trying to hide her belly.
But refuting all such pregnancy rumours about his daughter, Neha’s father, Pradip Dhupia opened up to Dainik Bhaskar. He was quoted as saying, "No no.. there is no such thing at all. Since the two got married early, people are thinking otherwise. But there is no such thing. People will keep talking about things and spread rumors as per their wish." Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi managed to keep their wedding an intimate affair, away from the media glitz and paparazzi. When asked Pradip Dhupia about whose decision it was to keep the wedding a close-knit ceremony, he retorted, "It was decided by both the families and the couple as they didn't have much time because of their respective work commitments. He further continued, "We knew both were good friends. We were actually waiting for them to tell us that they want to get married. So when they finally decided, we gave our nod to their relationship." When further probed about Neha and Angad’s wedding reception, he said that now that they are married, it’s totally their decision if they want to have a function for their friends from the industry or not. Post their secret intimate wedding, Neha and Angad released a joint statement which could be read as, “Marrying your best friend is one of the greatest feelings in the world, and we are extremely fortunate to have found love in each other. It has been a beautiful journey knowing each other and after formalizing the wedding earlier this year, today, we exchanged our vows in a beautifully simple, private and intimate Anand Karaj ceremony in Delhi. We look forward to celebrating and sharing this special moment with our friends and colleagues in Mumbai in the next couple of weeks. Thank you for showering us with so much love.
