Life is getting quite unpredictable for our celebs right now! Some of our favourite celebs are getting married or ready to embrace parenthood, while some are filing for divorce or breaking up!
The latest celeb who reportedly falls into the latter category is Yeh Meri Life Hai fame actress Muskaan Mihani. Earlier reports suggested that Muskaan’s marriage had hit a dead-end.
According to several reports, the actress who played the role of Dr. Sapna in Dill Mill Gayye, filed for divorce from her businessman husband, Tushal Sobhani. Muskaan tied the knot with Tushal, who is a Mumbai-based businessman, in September 2013 and the two have an adorable daughter named Mannat who turned one in September 2016.
Reportedly, the actress was tortured and harassed by her in-laws and husband, due to which it was reported that she decided to end her 4-year-old marriage. According to a report published in entertainment portal, SpotBoyE, Muskaan was living away from her husband Tushal for quite some time now.
A source close to the actress stated that Muskaan was subjected to torture and mental harassment by Tushal. The source further added that Tushal used to verbally abuse her by saying things like:
"Her husband would run her down all the time and she was told: Teri aukaat kya hai? Tu sirf ek TV actress hai. Wapas chali jaa. Tusshar even pushed her once. She was being treated like dirt, the in-laws' family was ganging up against her."
A legal notice was first sent to Tushal, but since there was no response, an NC was filed against Tushal around two weeks ago.
Talking about the upbringing of the baby, the source said:
"Let's tell you that Muskaan was categorically told that if she wants Tushal to look after the baby she should leave her with her father (Tushal) and his family, and have no contact with her thereafter. She was told that if she does not comply to this demand, Tushal will not pay anything for the daughter's upbringing and welfare."
Reportedly, the couple’s baby, Mannat is with Muskaan.
“The baby is with Muskaan. The baby was born pre-mature and Muskaan has done practically nothing ever since her birth except nursing her to grow up healthily. Touch wood, today, Mannat looks as beautiful as Muskaan and is a very sharp child."
After stepping into motherhood, Muskaan returned to the small screen with serials like Dil Deke Dekho, Ring Wrong Ring and a couple episodes of Fear Files.
Speaking about Muskaan’s comeback, the source said:
"Muskaan's problems had hit the ceiling when she decided to fend for herself again by making a comeback. Tushal was also abusive in the marriage, and he was often in high spirits.”
Apparently, none of the above-mentioned details is true as Muskaan herself has slammed all reports suggesting her marriage is over! The actress was contacted by the national daily, Indian Express to confirm if her divorce news was true or not, to which the actress stated:
“It’s not true. This is a false news. Everything is okay.”
Upset by the quotes given by the source which suggested that the actress's husband used to verbally abuse her, Muskaan said:
“I am very upset with these stories. I don’t know from where did this come up. People should understand that such a thing can ruin a girl’s life. The things that have been reported as said by my husband, he never speaks like that. I have a child. People should at least contact me before running these stories.”
We completely understand what a harrowing experience this must have been for the actress and her family because of these false stories. Thank god the actress cleared the air around her divorce. Here's wishing Muskaan, Tushal and Mannat lots of happiness.
