The 17th season of the reality TV show, Bigg Boss recently concluded, and during the entirety of its run, the contestants of the show garnered much limelight. One of the participants in the show, Mannara Chopra, too, became the talk of the town in no time. Her on-and-off friendship with Munawar Faruqui, and Anurag Dobhal, and her ugly fight with Ankita Lokhande, kept the actress in the news.
Recently, Mannara Chopra did an interview for a podcast on Filmygyan's YouTube channel. The host and the actress talked at length about the latter’s stint in Bigg Boss 17 and other aspects of her life. On the podcast, De Talks, Mannara revealed the kind of man she wants to get married to. The host questioned if the actress is keen on marrying a politician just like her cousin, Parineeti Chopra. He further added that Priyanka Chopra has already gotten married, and Meera Chopra is going to tie the knot, so what is her plan regarding her marriage? To this, she replied:
“Oh my God, abhi just Bigg Boss ke ghar se bahar aayi hun, shaadi rachana is too much for me. Abhi mera koi plan nahi hai yaar.”

The host further questioned Mannara to list some of the qualities that she would want in her future husband. The actress went on to say that this question has been asked to her so many times that she now definitely knows the kind of man she would like to settle down with. Mannara revealed she wants a knowledgeable partner, who would listen to her. She said:
“Somebody who is knowledgable, jo har tarah ki conversation mein participate kar paye, har tarah ke logon se connect kare. And meri baat bhi sune.”
Further into the conversation, the host suggested that Mannara should get married to an IAS (Indian Administrative Services) officer, as they only have such an ocean of knowledge. Mannara said that she would not mind getting married to an IAS officer. She further added:
“No, but somebody who is very family oriented, mere liye wo bohot important hai because we are two sisters and me and my sister, Mitali and we have mom and dad, mujhe agar joint family ka ladka mile toh aur bhi mazaa aayega. He can be from any profession but ek honesty jo relationship mein hoti hai wo bohot important hoti hai. Ek respect jo families ki taraf hoti hai wo important hoti hai, conversational hona chahiye and traveller zaroor hona chahiye.”

The host of the podcast shared his experience of dating and asked Mannara if she prefers dating a person belonging to a particular profession. The actress immediately replied that the profession of the person does not matter to her, as long as there is a spark between them. The host then teased if comedy and shayar are out of her list, subtly hinting at the possibility of Mannara's romantic feelings for Munawar Faruqui. To this, Mannara said:
“Main khud hi itni badi comedy hun. Main khud hi itni badi entertainer hun. And my family is always happy-go-lucky around me. So, wo toh main hun hi.”
As soon as Filmygyan’s Instagram page shared a clipping from the same conversation, netizens took to the comment section to pen their thoughts on the same. While some made fun of her, others supported her choice. One user said, “Khud bewakoof ki tarah baat karti hai aur larka knowledge wala chahiye.” Another one wrote, “Ek NRI, ek politician layi, ek govt. Job wala layegi.” A third comment can be read as “But kya ek IAS inse shaadi karega?”
