Though this year has been quite lucky and special for most of the celebs from the Bollywood and TV industry, for some it was not so good. Amidst people rejoicing the news of the arrival of babies and celebs entering the wedlock, there was the news of trouble in some celeb's paradise.

One such announcement was the separation of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii fame couple, Kiran Karmarkar and Rinku Dhawan. While Kiran played the role of Om Agrawal, Rinku portrayed the role of his sister, Chaya in the show. Seeing each other on the sets made them realise that there is something more than friendship between them.
The couple met on the sets of the show, soon their friendship blossomed into love and they tied the knot in 2002. The couple has been together for 15 years and has a teenage son.
In an exclusive talk with SpotboyE, Rinku confirmed the news and said:
“Yes, Kiran and I are no longer together. However, I have not yet decided whether I will file for divorce or not.”

Kiran too confirmed the news and said:
“Zindagi hai ho jaata hai. I am a low profile person and stay away from parties. So why would I want to discuss what led Rinku and me to part ways?”
The couple is living separately from the past 12-15 months, but they refused to talk about the reason behind their split. On the professional front, Kiran was last seen in Star Plus serial Tamanna and Dhai Kilo Prem whereas Rinku was last seen on-screen on Zee TV show Yeh Vaada Raha.

According to Bombay Times, a source said:
“Both Kiran and Rinku are mature, creative people. After being together for 15 years, they have decided to separate because of unresolved differences — they believe it is better than living in constant acrimony. The decision is amicable and their priority is their teenager son.”
The source further added:
“Rinku and Kiran don’t want to talk about their personal lives. They are fiercely guarding their privacy as they don’t want unnecessary publicity to upset their son.”
