However, despite having their lives so upfront in the public glare, the duo tends to keep an absolute low key and enjoy zero media coverage on their personal lives. For the unversed, Rani and Aditya dated each other secretly for quite some time before tying the knot on April 21, 2014 in a hushed and very secretive Bengali wedding in Italy. The duo are blessed with a girl, Adira.
The upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 8 will feature the cousins, Rani Mukerji and Kajol spilling some major beans on the couch with Karan Johar. During the same interaction, Karan Johar recalled how back in 2014, he attended the hushed wedding of Rani with Aditya Chopra in Italy. For the unversed, the couple had strict adherence with a no-picture policy of their wedding, so much so that even today there isn’t any picture related to the wedding. Fast forward to now, Karan revealed that he got a call from Aditya informing of his wedding. Moreover, he also threatened his best buddy, Karan Johar for not revealing a single piece of information about the whole matter. Narrating it all, Karan mentioned:
“I don't even want to say where it was because I think he will still fire me like decades later. He said, meri shaadi ho rahi hai, there are 18 people attending. If word gets out of this wedding, it will be you. The only person who will open his mouth is you, if I see there is a mention of this wedding in any publication at that time newspapers were still dominating.”

Elaborating more on that incident, Karan Johar then went on to mention how Rani and Aditya were perhaps the first celebrity couple who started the trend of secretive destination weddings. Moreover, he added how at that time, he was days away from releasing the film, 2 States when suddenly he got Aditya’s call to join the wedding. Revealing how he had to fabricate an answer even for his mother, Karan said:
“But everyone was like ‘On release weekend, why are you going to Manchester?’ I was like, ‘I have to go, I have to go.”
In a previous interaction with Film Companion, Rani Mukerji talked about spending quality time with her husband, Aditya Chopra despite having their hectic schedules. The diva went on to reveal how she and her hubby always watch a movie together every Friday, especially when they are vacationing outside. Moreover, the doting wife added that outside India, she and Aditya openly walk around and hold hands in the streets, without the fear of paparazzi.

Well, we all know to how much extent Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra seek privacy in their personal life. In another previous interview with Anupama Chopra, Rani talked about her wish to share her wedding pictures with her fans, and added that she was the first celeb bride who donned an ensemble from Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s collection. In her words:
“Very soon I will come out with my wedding pictures also. And the quintessential Sabyasachi bride first. It's crazy yeah."
