One of the famous and the most happening director-producer of Indian film fraternity Karan Johar entered fatherhood and gave a pleasant surprise to everyone. On February 7, 2017, Karan welcomed his twin babies, a boy and a girl. He lovingly named them, Yash and Roohi. Their names he took inspiration from his parents Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar. His little ones were born through surrogacy.
A few days more and Karan’s babies will turn one. But before that Karan has shared a lovely picture of his little munchkins. In the picture, we can clearly see behena Roohi’s love for her bhaiya Yash. Below is the picture that Karan posted on his official Instagram account. This is what he captioned it, Sister love!!!!"
Did you just see the way, Roohi is caressing her brother Yash, who is busy playing in his own world. See, sisters are sisters, no? When Karan announced this happy news almost a year ago, this is what he wrote on social media, "I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science."
For those who don’t know, Yash and Roohi are premature babies who came into this world two months prior to their due date. Just like any other father, even Karan was very worried. This is what he wrote on Twitter then, "My children were born two months premature and worryingly underweight. Like any person in this situation and on the brink of fatherhood, my heart sank. Knowing that there were complications with my babies birth owing to how soon it was, I was terrified. All I wanted to do was hold them and protect them but they needed to be in the NICU. Whether it was Yash and Roohi’s first complete picture or lately on Adira’s birthday bash, these two cutie patooties know exactly how to pose for the shutterbugs. It was a moment of sheer joy and happiness when at the age of 44, Karan became proud papa to them. So much so that the emotional father wrote a heart-warming letter for his babies. An extract from it says, “I was 44-years-old when you were born to me, and almost immediately you made me as sentimental as a Hallmark greeting card. I spout clichés on how magical the two of you are, how you have filled the vacuum in my life and how you made my house a home, but it’s true.” To read the entire letter, click here!
