Kangana Ranaut, who recently joined the BJP, landed in trouble after her controversial statement about yesteryear superstar, Urmila Matondkar resurfaced in the media. The Queen actress is known for her blunt comments and for speaking her heart out. For the unversed, in 2020, Kangana and Urmila got into a war of words on Twitter, now known as X. In jest, Kangana called Urmila a 'soft porn' star, which left millions in shock.
Recently, during Times Now Summit 2024, Kangana Ranaut addressed her controversial statement for Urmila Matondkar. While clarifying herself, Kangana dragged Sunny Leone, a former adult content star. Kangana stated that 'Soft Porn' or 'Porn star' is not an objectionable term but rather a word not socially acceptable. She added that in India, porn stars get major respect, and no other country treats them the same way. She was quoted as saying:
"Humare desh mein jitna porn star ko respect milta hai, puchiye (former adult film star) Sunny Leone se, utna respect poore world mein kisiko nahi mil sakta."

Kangana further clarified her comment on Urmila, which she made in 2020, came after she was asked by the Rangeela actress on what basis the BJP was considering her foray into politics. The actress stated that there are different kinds of art. She was quoted as saying:
"I was asked to comment on Urmila ji (Matondkar) asking on what basis was the BJP considering me for a foray into politics. That was her question. I believe there are different realms of art. Sensational art, the one we refer to as massy art, which only titillates or physically stimulates you, that is also an art form. However, that can never be superior to the art that is intellectually motivating, one which stimulates your mind."

During an interview with Times Now, Kangana made a controversial statement towards Urmila for the first time. The actress revealed that Urmila made fun of her struggles and mentioned that she was trying to appease the BJP part for a ticket. In jest, Kangana addressed Urmila as a 'soft port star' and said that she is not even known for acting. She was quoted as saying:
“I saw one very derogatory interview given by Urmila Matondkar. The way she was talking about me, pulling faces, making a mockery about my struggles, attacking me on the fact that I am trying to appease BJP for a ticket. One doesn’t have to be a genius to figure that for me it is not very difficult to get a ticket. Urmila is a soft porn star. She is not known for her acting for sure, what is she known for? For doing soft porn right. If she could get a ticket, why wouldn’t I get a ticket?"
Kangana has a problem with the way Bollywood works. In the past, she has not only called out Karan Johar for his nepotism, she has even openly expressed her hate towards Alia Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. According to reports, differences in Kangana and Alia's relationship started after the latter missed her film, Manikarnika's screening. Later, Kangana started targeting her and called her a part of Karan Johar's 'nepo gang'. She even once dragged the Raazi actress and her mother into an ugly Twitter banter and tagged them as 'non-Indians' for having British citizenship.
Once taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana hinted how Ranbir begged her to date him and kept pursuing her. She also claimed that Ranbir told her he got a trilogy to date, 'papa ki pari' (hinting at Alia). She added that Ranbir told her that his marriage and even the baby were fake and a trick to promote their movie. An excerpt from her long note can be read as:
"He even said his marriage was fake and baby is a trick to promote the movie .... I was beyond appalled... I still can't believe if anyone can be so morally corrupt, they aren't humans they are demons ...that's why I am determined to destroy them .... Dharma's main purpose is to destroy Adharma .... That's what Shri Krishna said in Geeta.”
Well, Urmila Matondkar and Sunny Leone have not yet reacted to Kangana's latest 'porn star' comment.
