Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding is to take place on May 8, 2018, in Mumbai itself. The wedding invites have already been sent to the guests for the wedding and the Kapoor residence is all decked up. Fans are not only excited to see how beautiful Sonam would look on her big day, they are also eager to know who all would attend the do from the tinsel town. Anil Kapoor’s bestie Jackie Shroff is gonna make it to the day at any cost. In an interview with BollywoodLife, Jackie with his patent enthusiasm said, “She is like my niece. It is my brother’s daughter’s wedding, I will definitely go.”
He further went on to say, “You are talking about Lakhan’s daughter’s wedding! Right? If Ram won’t go then who would?” For the ones who don’t know (which would hardly be the case!), Anil and Jackie were starred together in the blockbuster film, Ram Lakhan, in which Jackie was Ram and Anil was Lakhan. Initially, everyone thought it’s just another hoax that is doing the rounds and Sonam is not tying the knot. But then, one fine day a video of Sonam’s mother checking the decor of the Kapoor residence went viral and that added fuel to the fire. Soon after that, on May 1, 2018, the Kapoors and Ahujas released the official statement that stated, "The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives."
On the professional front, Jackie will be seen in the film named, Chambal. We would be seeing Jackie playing a mysterious and rowdy character. The film also stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Kay Kay Menon, Pankaj Tripathi, Shriya Saran and Mahie Gill. Directed by Karan Lalit Butani, the movie is slated to be released on June 1, 2018.
Well, Jackie dada is surely going to be present to bless his niece, Sonam Kapoor. We are hoping that he would shake his legs on some of his peppy numbers on the wedding!
