Ok, I am going back to staring at them!” This is what Bollywood biggie, Karan Johar had tweeted after Indian cricket captain, Virat Kohli and Pari actress, Anushka Sharma made their marriage official on social media. Almost everyone could relate to this succinct tweet and clearly, Virushka’s wedding pics swayed the country together in a common emotion.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married on December 11, 2017, in a close-knit ceremony in Italy, away from all the media glare and scrutiny. It’s been almost two months and it seems the marriage news is as fresh as the December 11 night. And it’s ingrained in minds of all the fans. Something similar happened on the cricket ground yesterday i.e. February 4, 2018. While India was fielding against South Africa at Centurion in the second ODI, a fan started displaying his wedding banner with Anushka’s pic on it. Speaking of gestures, both Virat and Anushka are equally into each other, not just in terms of emotions but also in terms of never shying away from openly expressing their love for each other. Previously, during the Test series against South Africa, when he hit a century, he gestured his love for his wife by taking out his wedding ring from his neck and kissed it, thus and sending out his love to Anushka. Yes, he carries his wedding ring tied around his neck.
Last month, when India started its tour by playing the first Test match against South Africa on January 5, 2018, the newbie wife cheered for her hubby, Virat. Shikhar Dhawan’s wife Aesha, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s newly-wedded wife, Nupur Nagar and Rohit Sharma’s better half, Ritika Sajdeh were also present with Anushka in the stands at Newlands.
On, December 11, 2017, Virat and Anushka announced their wedding news to the whole world by sharing this amazing message, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well-wishers.
