Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife, Sussanne Khan were the 'IT' couple back in the days. They wooed massive audiences with their picture-perfect love story and happy married life, thereby setting inspiration for million others. The duo also became doting parents to their sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan. However, things took an unprecedented turn when, in 2014, the lovebirds got divorced, and the news shocked everyone. Fast forward to now, both of them seem to have moved on in their lives and have given love a second chance with their respective partners, Saba Azad and Arslan Goni. Moreover, the duo have remained quite amicable and friendly with one another, as they have opted to co-parent their sons together.
During his previous appearance on the show, Koffee With Karan, Hrithik Roshan had joined in with his then-wifey, Sussanne Khan and spilled some magical anecdotes about their love story. The handsome hunk revealed he feels meeting the latter was in his destiny, and so he considered themselves no less than soulmates. Moreover, he even mentioned how Sussanne happened to be the only crush in his life, and he felt really happy to manifest her as his wife. He mentioned:
“I think we were destined to meet each other. I think we are sort of soulmates. The first time I ever had a crush on a girl, her name was Sussanne. And it was her.”

In one of her older interviews, Sussanne Khan had retrospected about the kind of relationship she shared with Hrithik Roshan, especially after their divorce. To this, the fashion entrepreneur mentioned that their bond is sacred to her, and she still considers him as her support system. In her words:
“I have a support system in Hrithik. It’s not a marriage, but we are friends. That zone is so sacred to me, it doesn’t make me feel sad or lonely. My kids are go-getters. They organise things!"
After almost two years post her divorce, back in 2016, Sussanne Khan broke her silence after staying mum about the same for so much time. For the unversed, Hrithik and Sussanne always kept mum about their divorce, and behaved quite amicably with one another. And in one of her previous interviews, she mentioned that they reached a stage in their life, where they felt it would be better if they weren’t together. Moreover, Sussanne emphasised that she didn’t want to stay in a false relationship.

In a previous interaction with Filmfare, Hrithik Roshan highlighted that post his divorce with ex-wife, Sussanne, the latter still continues to be an integral part of his life. Moreover, he shared that he finds it rare for them to be a couple who strives to find peace despite being separated. In his words:
“I share a wonderful relationship with Sussanne. She’s been and still is a huge part of my life. Just like me, she’s someone who’s constantly striving to be a better human being. It’s nice when people tell me that our relationship is inspiring for them. At the same time, it’s sad that it’s rare for separated couples to find a peaceful, happy and healthy equation. That should change. We must all strive towards a better understanding of the world, a better understanding of ourselves.”
