As the duo marked their special day, they got a beautiful wish from their darling daughter, Esha Deol, and it was simply unmissable.
On May 2, 2024, Esha Deol took to her IG handle to wish her parents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra on their marriage anniversary. In the unseen picture, the much-in-love duo was seen adorably posing for the lens. Hema was dressed in a white-hued printed top while Dharmendra sported a green-hued shirt. Alongside, the photo, Esha penned a caption and expressed her love and admiration for her parents and shared that she is only grateful for having them in her life. The doting daughter wrote:
"Happy anniversary to my papa & mamma. I adore you, I love you & I just want to hug you."

Hema Malini, aka Dream Girl, hosted a grand party on her 75th birthday on October 16, 2023, which was attended by many eminent Bollywood celebrities. The following day, Hema Malini took to her X handle and shared a series of photos from her grand birthday celebration. In one of the photos, she was seen having a candid moment with her darling husband, Dharmendra at her birthday bash. In yet another picture, Dharmendra and Hema were spotted unable to take their eyes off each other as the camera captured the priceless moment. Sharing the pictures with Dharmendra, Hema penned:
"16/10/23 was indeed a platinum day in my life and the birthday party at the Aurika Hotel in the evening was a big success. Dharamji’s presence throughout was my blessing."
Veteran actor, Dharmendra got married twice in his life. His first wedding was with Prakash Kaur, with whom he had four children, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta and Ajeita. Later, Dharmendra got married for the second time when he tied the knot with Hema Malini in 1980 without divorcing his first wife, Prakash. The duo is blessed with two daughters, Esha and Ahana. However, Dharmendra’s second wedding with Hema was an unconventional one, and it became a hot topic of discussion in the media for the longest time.

Dharmendra and Hema Malini's love affair was all over the news, and they broke many stereotypes as they tied the knot in an unconventional wedding. However, the duo always tried to keep their married life private and away from the media glare. In her biography, Hema Malini: The Dream Girl, Hema revealed that she never met Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur after their wedding, as she didn't want to disturb the latter. She had written:
"I didn’t want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharamji did for me and my daughters. He played the role of a father, like any father would do. I guess I am happy with that.”
