The pre-wedding celebrations commenced with the bachelorette party in which Geeta seems to have had a gala time with her besties. While not much is known about this party (after all, what happens at the bachelorette party, stays at the bachelorette party), there is only this selfie that clearly shows it was a fun-filled event.

Next in line of celebrations was the mehendi ceremony that took place on October 27, 2015, at Harbhajan’s hometown, Jalandhar. Starting with the venue, which was decorated in the beautiful shades of pastel pink and orange, gave the entire event a fairytale-like look. The bride-to-be looked every bit a stunning princess, and Harbhajan complemented her well by flaunting a sporty style in a cool white T-shirt and jeans at the ceremony.
Matching the colour scheme, Geeta wore a lehenga in the pastel colours as well. She sported an Archana Kochhar creation. It was a pastel pink choli teamed up with a yellow lehenga that had beautiful patchwork on it.
Ajay Shelar is the man who did Geeta's makeup. The smokey eyes and pink lipstick truly highlighted the bridal beauty of the actress. But, what caught our eyes was her choice of the bindi. It was a simple stone that looked amazing on the lovely lady's face. To complete the look, Pooja Gupta, Geeta’s hairdresser, opted for the classic bun. Geeta adorned antique chand balis and an elaborate headgear for the evening. The jewellery was in gold, kundan and pearl. A little nose ring turned out to be the perfect choice for her face.

The sangeet ceremony took place on October 28, 2015. It was a typical big fat Punjabi affair with all the band baaja and masti. Famous Punjabi singers, Mika Singh and Gurdas Maan, performed for the couple on their special night. And, Harbhajan even tweeted this picture from the ceremony along with a ‘thank you’ note for both the singers for making the evening special:
Harbhajan looked like a royal Sikh in a pastel pink kurta, white churidar, and a hot pink waistcoat and turban. Complementing him well, Geeta looked charming in a green lehenga choli that had golden embroidery on it.
