Beintehaa fame actress, Dimple Jhangiani’s wedding created a buzz everywhere, whether we talk of print media or digital world. The actress is considered the doll of telly world, and she does look like one, no?

The beautiful actress, Dimple took the wedding vows with Sunny Asrani, who happens to be a diamond merchant on December 9, 2016. Their wedding was a three-day grand affair. The engagement ceremony took place on December 7, followed by mehendi/sangeet on Decemsber 8. After the wedding, the couple also hosted a lavish reception party on December 10.
Dimple and Sunny both were styled by Sugandha Sood a famous Mumbai-based celebrity stylist. Her wedding was a Cinderella-themed one for which she chose Turquoise by Rachit Khanna, which is a famous designer brand from Chandigarh. Here’s what the actress stated:
“For my Cinderella themed wedding, I chose Chandigarh’s designer Rachit Khanna to design two of my outfits for Engagement and Reception and my hair and make-up team came up with 4 different looks for my functions inspired by the Disney movies. I am very particular and kind of a perfectionist so I am fortunate that I met them and they lived up to my expectations.”
Dimple’s wedding was in a complete Sindhi style, keeping in mind each and every ritual and ceremony. The actress even changed her name as per the Sindhi culture. In an interview with a leading daily, Dimple shared:
“I am the only child, so of course my parents were more than happy and wanted my wedding to be done with all the rites and rituals. So, there was an engagement party, mehendi, sangeet, pheras and finally the reception. One of our ritual is that the bride’s name is changed during the pheras, it’s supposed to bring good luck for the couple.”
She further added:
“So, depending on the name of the husband and couple of other things that they see in the ritual, one letter is selected and the bride’s new name has to start from that letter. So, my new name is Anaisha Asrani. Many were surprised by this and also to see that in every function there was DJ and dhol, but that’s the fact about Sindhis, we dance like there’s no tomorrow, so every function by default has a dance floor. Though I was stressed with all the work and arrangement but I have enjoyed every minute of my wedding and you would see me and Sunny on the dance floor in every function. The cuisine was not hard-core Sindhi but certainly a few dishes were unique. One Sindhi dessert that everyone loves is Malpua and we made sure that it was a part of the desserts.”
Moving on, we already told you that Dimple’s reception was a star-studded one, where a number of Dimple’s industry friends were present. The guest list had names such as Rajan Shahi, Sayantani Ghosh, Kinshuk Mahajan, Angad Hasija, Nivedita Basu, Shashank Vyas, amongst many others. A few celebs namely, Nia Sharma, Vindhya Tiwari, Jayati Bhatia, Vikaas and Priyanka Kalantri were missing from the reception but had attended her engagement party.
