Delhi Witnessed A Royal Wedding Of This 'Rajkumari' With The 'Maharaja' Of 'Patnagarh'

When it is the royals who are getting married, then one can expect royal and rich ambience and nothing less than a fairy tale wedding. Marriage is a very respected institution of India and is a sacred occasion that highlights the regional and cultural diversity in India.

The capital witnessed the union of two royal families who came together to celebrate the wedding of Rajkumari Adrija Manjari Singh of Manda with Rajkumar Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo of Patnagarh, Odisha.

The celebrations were held for three days, and it was a scintillating winter wedding that took place on November 23, 2017. This royal wedding kick-started with the haldi ceremony and an evening party at Shanti Farm on November 21. Following to which, the bride and the groom had a tilak ceremony on November 22, and then they tied the knot next day on November 23.

The baraat made their way from lawyer Ram Jethmalani’s home to the residence of bride’s grandfather, former Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh. The guests who were there to bless the couple on their special day included HH Rajmata Padmini Devi of Jaipur, former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, politician Rajnath Singh, Minister of Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley, designer Nikhil Mehra with wife Vidushi Mehra, and television anchor Archana Vijaya were amongst other guests.

Both the families planned another post-wedding celebration party for their selected guests in Bhubaneswar and Patnagarh. According to the reports, over forty thousand invitees attended the function in Patnagarh.

The wedding also saw many former Maharajas including Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Puri, Dhenkanal, along with members of many eminent regal families from Odisha and other parts of the country. Here's the picture of the bride getting ready:
