He is an all-rounder with the titles of Roadies winner, former VJ, singer, actor and poet in his kitty. Ayushmann Khurrana has won millions of hearts with his melodious voice and spectacular performances.
Ayushmann is an ace actor, a doting father and a loving husband. Ayushmann Khurrana and his wife Tahira Kashyap have a little world of their own with their two kids, Virajveer and Varushka. Ayushmann is in a happy space in his professional and personal life. Talking to a leading magazine about the effects of his fame in his marital life, Ayushmann said, ''After the first film, our personal life was affected. I had no time for my family. You begin to feel big, your ego swells. Then I got back on track. It’s great to see both sides in these five years. The highs and the lows.”
Ayushmann Khurrana further added, “Personally and professionally, it has made me balanced. It gives you a better perspective of life. Honestly, had all my films been successful, my wife would have left me. I would have been a different person. She has been with me through thick and thin. That is why we are together. Of course, you do get attracted to people. But your core needs to be right. The belief that you are with this person for a lifetime and you have to be with the family. That is the only thing, which will last forever.”
Ayushmann has undoubtedly garnered an immense female fan following with his charming boy-next-door roles. When asked how does he handle his female fans, Ayushmann retorted, “Earlier Tahira used to get jittery with all the female attention. It was different for her to see her college friend kissing women on screen. Now it’s cool. She has grown from being my girlfriend in Chandigarh to someone, who has shot a short film and will be directing a feature film soon. She is an artiste too. So, she understands the space an artiste needs and demands. Every actor loves this kind of attention. She knows that I love it and she is happy for me. She also knows that my love for her is way bigger than all this.”
Ayushmann Khurrana has also said that his wife, Tahira Kashyap reads all his scripts and is always a part of his decision making. He was quoted as saying, “She reads all my scripts, and most times, we’re on the same page. We have no creative conflicts because our sensibilities are very similar. We have grown up together. She is always part of my decision making.” For the uninitiated ones, Tahira Kashyap is an author, director and a producer. When asked Ayushmann if he would work in a movie directed by his wife, Tahira, he asserted, “She has written a lot of female-centric movies, so I’m not sure if I will get any meaty roles. But I would love to work with her for sure.”
Talking about casting Ayushmann in her films, Tahira admitted, “We have been friends before we got married. I have known him closely. I don’t have anything for him right now but if anything falls into place, I don’t mind directing him if he fits a character. Although I don’t know how that will work out… it will be a different experience for both of us.”
