Avinash Sachdev gathered limelight off lately, when he recalled his past relationship with Rubina Dilaik, which ended twelve years back. For the unversed, Avinash claimed the actress to have been possessive and insecure. However, the comment didn’t sit well with Rubina’s husband, Abhinav Shukla, who lashed out at the actor and jibed at him to ‘be a man’. And now, Avinash Sachdev reacts to the entire fiasco.
In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Avinash Sachdev responded to the reaction he received from his ex-girlfriend, Rubina Dilaik’s husband, Abhinav Shukla, as he spoke about their breakup that happened twelve years back. Avinash mentioned that he made those remarks about Rubina only when he was questioned about his past relationships during media interactions, after he exited the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 2. Talking about their breakup, the actor remarked that the two of them were mere teenagers, and it was a mistake. In his words:
“I said these things about Rubina when I came out of Bigg Boss OTT 2. I was questioned about my relationship with her. Our breakup happened in 2012. I was 25 then and Rubina was 22. We were like more than teenagers and almost grown-ups. I have already mentioned that it was such an age that we tend to commit mistakes.”

Moving forward in the conversation, Avinash Sachdev then reacted to Rubina’s husband, Abhinav Shukla asking him to ‘be a man’, after the former spoke about his breakup with the actress. Avinash, on the contrary, reprimanded Abhinav for reacting to a comment that has been made so much time back. Calling out Abhinav to stop being an ‘intrusive man’ himself, Avinash said:
“I said all this in August 2023, why is Shuklaji reacting now? If he were to react to it, he must have done it then only. Had I been in his place, I would have first searched when and where the comment was passed. If he is telling me to be a man, I would like to tell him ‘don’t be an intrusive man’ and find out when the remark was made before saying anything.”
After Avinash Sachdev, in one of his previous interviews, tagged his ex-GF, Rubina Dilaik’s possessiveness and insecurity as the reason behind their breakup, her husband, Abhinav Shukla gave a sassy reply to it indirectly. While speaking with Siddharth Kannan, the actor remarked how youngsters, who have been in relationships in the past, must not speak about their breakup, particularly about the lady involved and be a man.

Fast forward to now, Rubina Dilaik is happily married to the love of her life, Abhinav Shukla, and the duo recently got promoted as parents with the arrival of their twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa in November 2023.
