Ankita Lokhande is one of the most famous faces in the television industry. The diva stepped into the world of glitz and glamour with the serial, Pavitra Rishta. Apart from that, she was seen in the movies like Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi and Baaghi 3. Back in 2023, Ankita grabbed a lot of attention for her stint in Bigg Boss 17, wherein she bagged the position of the 3rd runner-up. Later, she played an important role in the recent movie, Swatantra Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda. Although, it has been speculated that Ankita was one of the highest-paid actors in BB 17, we recently stumbled upon how much money she charged to act in Randeep Hooda's directorial debut, Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
Ankita Lokhande has been receiving a lot of appreciation for her role as 'Yamunabai' in the film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar. In a recent interview, the actress's close friend and producer, Sandeep Singh shared how Ankita swooped in a tough professional phase of him and essayed her role in Randeep Hooda's film. In an interview with India Today, Sandeep shared that during the early stage of his career, Ankita and Kangana Ranaut had encouraged him and told him that he should be a director.

Sandeep further revealed that he wanted to take Ankita in the movie, Safed, but it couldn't happen. The producer further stated that whenever he was busy shooting for any film, he was in touch with the Pavitra Rishta actress. Sandeep can be quoted as saying:
"When I was working with Mr Bhansali as a CEO and I was co-producing Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Mary Kom, Gabbar is Back and Rowdy Rathod, since that time I had a friend called Ankita who believed in me. In fact, she and Kangana were among the first people who told me that ‘you should be the director.’ She said that ‘Sandeep jab tum film banana to main hi acting karungi'. When I made Safed, I approached her but she couldn't do the film. But whenever I was shooting, we were in touch.”
Going further in the interview, Sandeep Singh mentioned that during the time he got the film, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, no one wanted to work with him, and he had to go through a lot of media trials. The producer further stated that he wanted Ankita to play the role of 'Yamunabai' in the movie. Sandeep shared that Ankita had given him one condition that she would not take a single penny for any role in any of his films. Sandeep can be quoted as saying:
"At the time I got Savarkar, nobody wanted to work with me because I had gone through a lot of media trial. I never told her that nobody wants to work with me. I wanted her to play Yamunabai in Savarkar. She said ‘I have one condition that I am not going to charge for this film. I can never charge any money from you for any role’. I said then you are in all my films.”
During a press conference about the movie, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, Ankita Lokhande shared that Randeep Hooda told her that she wasn't fit to play the role of 'Yamunabai Savarkar' in the movie. Sharing the reason, Ankita stated that the actor told her that she was too pretty for the role.
Ankita Lokhande was reportedly one of the highest-paid actresses in Bigg Boss 17. If the reports are to be believed, the actress earned an amount of Rs. 12 lakhs per week, which makes it Rs. 1.8 crore in total during her stint.

On the other hand, earlier, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Ankita shared that she wants to work on good projects. The actress stated that she would not step back from doing any movie or show for free, as money is a secondary choice for her, and the character of the project is important. Talking about the same, Ankita also mentioned that when she was working as 'Archana' on Pavitra Rishta, she had been earning Rs. 2000 per day.
