Winters are here and so is the wedding season! And, one couple that is all set to take the plunge this wedding season is famous television actor Gaurav Khanna and Swaragini fame Akanksha Chamola. As the couple’s wedding date is just around the corner (November 24), naturally the celebrations have begun for them.
While all the wedding ceremonies will take place in Gaurav’s hometown Kanpur, Akanksha just threw a party for her industry friends yesterday (November 22) in Mumbai.

It was supposedly Akanksha’s mehendi party, which was attended by her co-stars from her on-going show, Swaragini. The starry night saw Helly Shah, Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar, Sonica Handa, Khyati Mangla, Amar Sharma, Parineeta Borthakur and many others from the telly world.
While all the actors who posted the pictures of this evening called it a mehendi party, we could not see the traditional ceremony actually taking place anywhere. Maybe it was an after-party once the ceremony was over, since we could see in the pictures that Akanksha’s hands were adorned with mehendi. In any case, one thing is assured- everyone had a gala time at this party. Have a look at the pictures and you will agree:

Akanksha’s co-star and also one of the lead actors of Swaragini, Helly Shah, even made a small video of them having fun on the evening, which was shared by the to-be bride herself through Instagram. Here it is:

The couple is getting married tomorrow (November 24, 2016), and their engagement ceremony will take place today. Post their wedding, they will have a Mata Ki Chowki on November 25.
The couple has already impressed us with their creative wedding invitation card, which is based on a “movie release” and has Gaurav and Akanksha’s caricatures on each leaf. Well, the invitation card clearly indicates how cool and exciting the wedding is going to be, and this has got us highly excited about this big fun affair.
For the uninitiated, the two met each other on a show’s audition, where Akanksha mistook Gaurav to be a newcomer, whereas he was quite an established actor by then. She ended up giving him acting tips as well as some gyaan on how the industry works. Gaurav, on the other hand, kept quiet all that while and enjoyed the whole conversation. It was only after she finished talking that he revealed his identity, which left the lady embarrassed. Yes, this is how these two hit it off! Such an interesting love story, isn't it?
