Must Have Wedding Photos

Your wedding is certainly one of the most important moments of your life, one that most women (and men, for that matter) want to share with all their family and friends. In fact, it is so important that people go to great lengths in order to preserve perfect memories about that special day.

I believe that photography is a strongly underrated part of the wedding planning process for most brides to be. After all, if you have planned the most amazing wedding, don’t you want a wedding photographer (or perhaps photo journalist would be a better word) recording every moment for posterity? Of course you do!

In this article, we have compiled a list of the must have photo poses for every wedding:

Pre engagement photo shoot

Sending a photo of the bride to be and the groom to be with the wedding invitations adds a personal touch that all the guests will be sure to enjoy. So be sure to plan a post engagement wedding photo shoot. It can be as fun and informal as you like, and you both can also play around with props, since it will add a touch of colour and originality to the pics.

Bride & Groom getting ready (separately, of course)

A few intimate and informal shots of the bride to be and the groom to be as they get dressed for the big day are a must for any wedding photo album. It is one of the most exciting parts of the day, and any photographer worth his salt will be able to capture the air of expectation that will hang around both of you on D Day.

Ensure that your photographer takes some pictures of both of you with your parents as well. As the credit card commercial says, a candid shot of your mother with tears in her eyes and a smile on her face as she watches you getting dressed is priceless.

Pre Wedding Photo shoot

Just before the wedding, most brides to be generally have butterflies in their stomach. But a pre wedding photo shoot can be fun and can actually help to relax and calm you down. Beside, since you will be thinking about Prince Charming in the hours before the wedding, it can be a great way for the photographer to get a few candid expressions and smiles.

Plus, don’t be shy about including friends and family members during the pre wedding photo shoot. After all, a big fat Indian wedding is never about two people. It is about celebration a union of two families.

The Wedding Ceremony

All those posed pictures of friends and family members standing in a group while the bride and the groom sit on their thrones are so passé. Instead, encourage your photographer to mingle with the crowd and capture images of everything – after all, authentic is the buzzword of the day.

Can you think of any other tips that I have missed out on?
