5 Tips to Look Stylish at Work after Pregnancy

Returning to office after pregnancy can be difficult. After all, you would have been out of touch with your colleagues, seniors and office gossip for a long time. Dark colours

Dark colours are a new mother’s best friend. They make you look slimmer and streamlined. You should invest in some nice silk blouses and formal shirts which hug you around the chest. You can team it up with an A-line skirt and formal trousers.  It is advisable to wear darker colours as they create an optical illusion which makes you look really slim. That is why, after pregnancy, one should stay away from big patterns and bright colours as they make people look fatter.  

Stay away from stripes

Not everybody can carry off stripes. Wearing a shirt with horizontal stripes can draw attention to your pregnancy flab. Striped shirts are often considered a fashion disaster because they have a tendency to make a person seem larger than life, literally!

An empire line kurti with a fitted churidar is not only comfortable but also a great way to look slim instantly. An empire cut, hugs your chest and is loose around the belly, which is a problem area for a lot of women. A churidar allows you to breathe freely and makes your legs look really slim. Besides this, you can also opt for long kurtis and stretch jeans. But stay away from a Patiala salwar and short kurtis. They won’t help you one bit and will end up drawing attention in all the wrong places (i.e. your thighs and hips)

Accessorize smartly

Want to hide that fat belly? Then camouflage it with big bag. Want to draw attention away from your flabby arms? Then wear full sleeves shirts and a chunky necklace to draw attention to your neck. If you have lost a few kilos recently, then wear belts to draw attention to your slim waist.  Well fitted jackets go a long way in hiding your arms as well as waist. Get at one of them for yourself.

Post pregnancy bras

If you are breast feeding your child, then there are chances that some of the milk may stain your dresses. This is where breast pads come into the picture. They absorb all the milk and ensure that you are not left red faced during an important meeting. You may realize that your breasts may have become slightly smaller and saggy. They need better support and that is why you must splurge on a good quality brassiere. Your bra should be well fitted and your straps should not dig into your skin. Proper inner ware will ensure that you look gorgeous from the outside.
