Knowing what turns a woman off is more important than knowing about what turns her on. If you want to hit it big with your woman, then please keep these tips in mind. Defy any of these basics and you may as well be prepared to drink yourself to sleep in some lonely, gloomy corner.

1. Over-enthusiasm

Many women are turned off by over-enthusiastic conversations concerning your favorite football team, basketball team, gym-routine or other interests that they do not share. Even though it is advisable to share your interests, it is not necessary that she would be interested. Therefore, do not go on talking about your interests unless it is obvious that she wants to know more. 

2. Talking about one’s ex

Talking about your ex endlessly while on a date is a strict no-no. Continuously bringing her up in conversations may give your date the impression that she might be a rebound and consequently she will lose interest in you.

3. Narcissism

Narcissism is a big turn off. Make sure you spend more time with your girlfriend than with your mirror. Try and handle situations like a man. If you find your favorite car scratched in the restaurant parking lot, just take it like a man – sit in your car; and drive away. There’s nothing you can do about it anyway, why sit and whine about it?

4. Poor manners

Every man needs to be well-mannered especially when he’s with his girlfriend. Avoid using bad words, curse words and manly-slangs when in female company. Similarly, remember your table manners and avoid the urge to talk white chewing your food.

5. Being Scruffy

There are two types of scruffy looks – one in which you wear torn jeans, a suave blazer, with tossed up hair and dark glasses and manage to still pull it off; and the other in which you sport overgrown beard and wear dirty worn out shoes that look like they’ve never been washed. The latter is a big turn off. You should remember to take care of yourself as you wouldn’t like it if your girl didn’t take care of herself. And while, we’re at it, please do something about the body odor. There’s nothing more enticing than a nice smelling man.
